Lie-brary

A fictionary variation from Equinox 4, by Dan Asimov.

Named by Dean Howard (Shrdlu).

Each player brings a non-famous book to the party. People sit in groups of perhaps eight. For each book, players see the cover, and write a possible first sentence. The person who brought the book copies the actual first sentence. People vote for the one they believe is the actual first sentence. As in fictionary, some people sacrifice plausibility for humor. Points are scored as in fictionary.

Barbara Selfridge (Banterweight) brought a bunch of Harlequin romances to Equinox 25, for a reprise of this game.
